International Wheat Congress 2024 - Perth

Joint meeting of Expert Working Group (EWG) “Abiotic Stresses” (AWAS), EWG “Nutrient Use Efficiency (NUE) and AHEAD

The International Wheat Congress (IWC) in Perth, Australia, held from 22 to 27 September, was a great success. Over 900 Researchers from various countries travelled to Western Australia to participate in different workshop and listened to very interesting talks.

The Wheat Initiative and AHEAD used the presence of a high number of researchers from their Expert Worksing Groups (EWGs) and the AHEAD Network and organised a in presence meeting at September 21. AHEAD, together with the EWG “Abiotic stresses” and “Nutrient Use Efficenc” prepared a joint meeting in order to raise awareness of each others activities and identify synergies which could be used in the future.
